meteor craters

• meteor crater, arizona - the first to be recognised for what it was.
• Sudbury, canada, a mass extinction event
• Chicxulub, gulf of mexico, killed off the dinosaurs

Tunguska, while not a crater, was quite definately a collision with a near earth object of some sort. It blew up about 8Km in the air over Russia.
