Early British Trackways by Alfred Watkins (1922)

Early British Trackways by Alfred Watkins (1855 - 1935), a self-taught amateur archaeologist and antiquarian was published in 1922, and provides the initial account of the phenomena know called Ley Lines.

In this book, he puts forth the idea that various ancient monuments around Blackwardine, near Leominster, England could be connected by straight lines, and that they might be an ancient trade route.

Because a lot of these sites have religious importance, a lot of people have claimed a lot more properties and significance than watkins actually claimed himself.

This book is sometimes refered to as "The Old Straight Track", but it is also possible that there are two books refered to by that name. currently I have not been able to resolve that either way.

Buy it in America, Buy it in the U.K. or Buy it in Canada.
